Sénèque Obin (1893–1977) was a prominent Haitian painter and a key figure in the Cap-Haïtien School of Art. Known for his depictions of historical and Masonic scenes, Obin’s art reflects everyday life in Haiti, often focusing on local events and ceremonies. He began painting at the age of 53 and joined the Centre d’Art in Port-au-Prince in 1948. His works are held in major collections worldwide, including the Milwaukee Museum of Art and the Musé d’Art Haitien du College Saint Pierre.
