Documenta 2022

Documenta 2022 marks the fifteenth edition of one of the world’s most significant contemporary art exhibitions, held every five years in Kassel, Germany. Since its inception in 1955, Documenta has been a platform for cutting-edge contemporary art that challenges traditional boundaries and invites dialogue on global issues. The 2022 edition was curated by the Indonesian art collective ruangrupa, known for their collaborative and community-focused approach. This edition, titled "Lumbung," focused on the concept of a communal rice barn, symbolizing shared resources and collective knowledge. Through a diverse array of installations, performances, and other artistic expressions, Documenta 2022 brought together artists from around the world to explore themes of sustainability, community, and social justice.
