德玉堂画廊荣幸宣布参加2017年影像上海艺术博览会。这是德玉堂画廊第三次参加影像上海,将呈现哥伦比亚艺术家卢文·阿法纳德以及上海艺术家杨泳梁的双个展。此次我们很高兴的呈现阿法纳德作于2001年的重要系列《斗牛士》,以及杨泳梁2016年的新作《太古蜃市》系列的摄影作品和他为影像上海专门创作的时长七分钟的影像《络绎不绝》。 卢文·阿法纳德是国际知名的摄影艺术家,他的作品充满无限的想象力、强大的视觉冲击和深刻的自我探索。他于1959年出生于哥伦比亚,在美国和意大利等地接受教育,迄今为止他的作品已在美洲、拉丁美洲、欧洲和亚洲的多个重要画廊、博物馆、美术馆和公共空间展览。此外,他的摄影作品多次被选为《时尚》、《名利场》、《滚石》和《纽约客》等时尚、音乐及文化杂志的封面。 迄今为止,阿法纳德已经出版了三部著作,全部都已成为摄影和时尚爱好者追捧的收藏品。他的第一本书《斗牛士》中的黑白作品表现了身着华丽服装的来自墨西哥、哥伦比亚、秘鲁以及西班牙的斗牛士。第二本书《暗影》及最新作品《Mil Besos》则以他标志性的黑白风格分别体现古典芭蕾的男性舞者以及弗拉门戈的女性舞者。这三部影集中的摄影作品多次以个展的形式在米兰、纽约、阿根廷、西班牙、法国和哥伦比亚展出。艺术目前生活及工作于纽约,他的作品长期在纽约的Syndication Corbis画廊以及Throckmorton画廊以及洛杉矶的费伊•克莱因画廊展出。 Matthew Liu Fine Arts is pleased to participate in Photo Fairs|Shanghai for the third year. On view in the gallery’s booth in 2017 will be exceptional works by Ruven Afanador and Yang Yongliang. For this year we are delighted to present works from Afanador's critically acclaimed Torero sereis created in 2001, and photographic works from Yang Yongliang’s recent Time Immemorial series (2016) and Prevailing Winds, a seven minute video installation he specially created for Photo Shanghai 2017. Ruven Afanador is an internationally renowned photographer of limitless imagination, powerful vision and profound sense of self. Born in Colombia in 1959, Afanador received his education in the United States and Italy, and his work has been the subject of numerous exhibitions and installations in galleries, museums and outdoor spaces in Latin America, Europe, Asia and the United States. His photographs have graced the covers and pages of Vogue, Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, and The New Yorker. Afanador has published three books, all of which are considered collector items for photography and fashion aficionados. His first book, Torero, is a collection of black-and-white images of matadors from Mexico, Colombia, Peru, and Spain, posing in couture settings. His second book, Sombra, is a collection of male dancers in classical ballet poses. His most recent book, Mil Besos, is a collection of female flamenco dancers, done in his signature black-and-white style. His solo exhibitions for all three of his books have been staged in Milan, New York, Argentina, Spain, France, and Colombia. Afanador currently resides in New York. He has extensively exhibited at Throckmorton Fine Art in New York, and Fahey Klein Gallery in Los Angeles.
