Independent is a curated art fair held each spring in New York and each fall in Brussels, featuring a select group of international galleries known for their program rigor and experimental spirit. Founded in 2010 as an alternative to the large commercial fair format, Independent is known for its intimate scale, strong institutional relationships, and commitment to gallery programs that advance serious critical discourse. The fair's New York edition occupies the Spring Studios in Tribeca, while the Brussels edition takes place at the Tour & Taxis.
