
Uthman Wahaab
The Haydar-Khana Mosque is a mosque and madrasa, situated on al-Rashid Street in the Haydar-Khana district of Baghdad, in the Baghdad Governorate of Iraq. Originally built on top of a 12th-century mosque built by the Abbasid Caliph al-Nasir, the 19th-century mosque was built by the Mamluk Dawud Pasha. The mosque is one of Baghdad's most recognizable historical landmarks known for its architecture, role as a public sphere, and religious activities.
